School Halloween Parties
If you are a teacher, or parent in charge of classroom parties, than you know that the Halloween party may likely be the first classroom party of the school year. A Halloween party is easy to plan and one of the most enjoyable and entertaining parties of the year.
See our helpful classroom party guide below:
Some items that you will probably want for your party are:
- Halloween-themed decorations -black and orange crepe streamers, pumpkins, bats, spiders and cobwebs.
- Halloween-themed tablecloth, plates, cups and napkins. See the new Boo Bash set!
- Halloween refreshments, ghoulish treats and candy.
- Halloween Craft supplies (our craft idea is included below).
- Halloween music.
1) Get input from your child’s teacher, principal, PTA, or whoever is in charge of party ground rules. Have an idea of how long the party will last and your budget. Then find out who is helping with the party itself and organize by delegating responsibility to different individuals, the teacher, and even the kids.
2) Decorate the classroom with Halloween party decorations you purchased, or, as the teacher if the kids can create some of their own party decorations ahead of time.
3) Set a table using a black or Halloween themed tablecloth and your Halloween-themed supplies; napkins, cups, and paper plates and utensils.
4) Serve Halloween refreshments like wicked witch cupcakes, candy corn and pumpkin seeds. A cheese ball goblin with crackers and carrot sticks may be an nice healthy addition, served with applie juice, colored green so it becomes a “bug juice” or “witch’s brew” to drink.
5) Set aside some time for a Halloween-themed craft project like a “pumpkin treat bag” for the kids to take home some classroom treats. You will need:
Apply orange paint to the palm of a hand with a sponge. Press palm onto paper bag. Using index finger & green paint, make stem and leaves on the pumpkins. Let dry.
6) Play a few Halloween-themed games, like spooky musical chairs, and our include some Printable Halloween Games!
7) Enjoy the festivities with all the kids!
