Taking Perfect Halloween Photos

Taking Great Halloween Photos

Anne Geddes isn’t the only one who can take great photos of babies. With a few easy tips you can learn how to take the perfect Halloween picture of your infant or toddler.

If this is your baby’s first Halloween you’ll want to make sure you record it, so don’t forget the camera and follow some of these tips:

You’ll want to time it right so that you can have your photo session when baby is in a good mood. Remember to work around baby’s schedule and not yours so that you have a happy smiling picture of your little pumpkin and not one of the grim reaper. That may mean dressing baby up after nap time and having to take it off and gear up later but it will be well worth it when you see the result.

Halloween photos make great party invitations. Have your child try on his costume and snap a few shots, then follow these simple instructions.

When photographing baby remember to order some Halloween props to create the perfect stage.Add some Halloween decorations in the background and use a great photography site like,  to capture your little goblin’s first experience with their new best friend, the Great Pumpkin.

*After trick or treating when baby is just plain tuckered out, prop baby up on the couch next to the trick or treat pail and sprinkle candy all around. Your baby doesn’t even need to be awake for this shot. If you like to scrapbook, you can’t beat some of these beautiful Halloween themed papers to add to your collection.

You’ll be really pleased that you spent the extra time getting everything set up perfectly when you see just how cute your baby’s pictures turn out.
